Our 36 inch spreader bar is a wood rod(1 3/8" dia) tightly spirally wrapped with beautiful industrial black rubber. It has a rubber cap on each end with a heavy duty long shank eyebolt screwed into the wood. They includes a center rope groove to attach a rope without it sliding back and forth on the bar. These Spreader Bars are a great additon to any dungeon. (Heavy duty but not designed for suspension play.)
